The offices of the Institute for Computational Molecular Science are located on Temple University's main campus about 1.5 miles north of Center City Philadelphia. The campus is bordered by Susquehanna Avenue to the north, Oxford Street to the south, 16th Street to the west, and 10th Street to the east. The campus is well connected to mass transit via SEPTA Regional Rail lines, the Broad Street (orange) subway line and several bus lines. Using the rail lines are your best bet if you arrive at the Philadelphia airport (R1 line) or via Amtrak or New Jersey Transit at 30th Street station (R1 to R8 lines). From Center City Philadelphia the subway is an alternative; you can interchange between the blue and the orange lines at City Hall station. The main stop for Temple University is Cecil B. Moore station. Only local trains stop there. If you are on an express train, get off at Girard Station and change to the next local train. The interactive map on the right gives you an overview.
If you plan to come by car, please note that parking is scarce on campus outside of the designated parking lots that are operated by Temple. Temple recommends visitors to park in the Liacouras garage.
The interactive map on the right outlines a few suggested routes to get to the ICMS once you arrive on campus. When you come by subway or park in the Liacouras garage, exit to Broad St. and head east and north to get to the corner of Berks and 12th streets (orange path). If you arrive via rail at Temple University station, head west on Berks St. until you reach 12th St. and then turn north (blue path). The Biology-Life Sciences Building will be on your left.
Enter the Bio-Life building and check in with security (you need a valid ID and need to sign in). Call the ICMS at 215-204-1927 (Hera Walker, BL-113) if necessary. Head straight towards the back of the building. Turn right before the glass window to the outside and head through the double doors. On the right about halfway down the hallway is Suite BL-106 with the offices of postdocs, graduate students, and visitors. Suite BL-113 with the offices of Profs. Klein, Carnevale and Fiorin will be a bit further down and on the left hand side. If you have reach the aquarium with the sea-urchins and sea-stars, you have walked too far.
